1. Overview
Hostshare Advanced™ is available to active Hostshare members and enables hosts to plan trips in advance while maintaining the integrity of the host-to-host travel model.
By opting into Hostshare Advanced, members agree to these additional terms, which supplement the general Hostshare Membership Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
To participate in Hostshare Advanced:
You must maintain an active Hostshare annual membership in good standing.
Your property or properties must remain live and publicly listed on Airbnb (or an approved connected platform) for the full duration of your Hostshare membership year.
Each listing added to Hostshare becomes eligible to receive travel nights once it is verified as active, available, and compliant with Hostshare’s internal listing standards. Hostshare reserves the right to decline or remove listings that do not meet these standards.
3. Annual Nights Allocation
Each listing you add to Hostshare provides 21 travel nights per annual membership term.
Nights do not roll over to the following membership year.
Nights are calculated based on your property’s average nightly rate, which determines your share value within the Hostshare network.
If a member chooses to participate in Hostshare Advanced, all listings that are active on Hostshare (original last-minute modal) must also be opted into Hostshare Advanced, ensuring consistent participation and equal opportunity for travel across the platform. Members who wish to remain exclusively with last-minute booking only may do so without enrolling in Advanced.
4. Booking Terms
Hostshare Advanced allows bookings up to 6 months in advance and up to 7 nights per stay.
All bookings are instant book between verified Hostshare members — there are no request-to-book approvals.
Host responsibilities for availability:
Set initial blockout dates during the 7-day setup period.
Keep calendars current for dates outside the locked 90-day window by making any needed adjustments before those dates roll into the locked window.
Once dates are inside the locked 90-day window, blockout changes are not permitted; existing confirmed bookings remain in force.
All stays remain subject to the host’s house rules and listing terms as published on Airbnb and Hostshare.
Bookings may not be transferred, resold, or made on behalf of non-members.
5. Booking Fees
For bookings made through Hostshare Advanced™, travelers are responsible for the following fees.
Cleaning Fee (Paid to the Host)
A cleaning fee set by the host, paid directly to the host, to cover professional cleaning, laundry, and property turnover costs.Damage Protection & Processing Fee
A bundled damage protection and processing fee, facilitated through Truvi, which includes accidental damage protection for the stay and covers payment processing, booking administration, and related transaction costs.Hostshare Advanced™ Service Fee
A service fee equal to 12% of the traveler’s calculated savings compared to the property’s retail rate. The retail rate is determined using the property’s average nightly rate over the previous twelve (12) months on third-party booking platforms.

6. Bookability and Blockout Dates
Hostshare Advanced™ uses Wheelhouse’s proprietary Bookability Score™ to help hosts identify and protect their highest-demand nights.
Hosts set their own blockout dates—periods that remain unavailable for Advanced bookings—based on this data.
After initial setup, hosts will have 7 days to make adjustments to their blockout settings for the next 90 days (3 months) of their calendar.
Once this 7-day adjustment window closes, the calendar will lock for that 90-day period, and hosts cannot modify blockout dates within that timeframe.
Hosts may continue to adjust any dates outside of the 90-day window at any time, as long as such changes do not affect an existing confirmed booking.
Participation in Hostshare Advanced does not require any action within Wheelhouse; Hostshare automatically imports and applies the necessary data.
7. Host Responsibilities
Hosts must set block-out dates and keep listing information updated.
Hosts agree to honor confirmed bookings unless extenuating circumstances apply.
Listings that are paused, removed from Airbnb, or inactive for extended periods may lose eligibility for Advanced bookings and travel nights.
8. Membership Commitment
All members using Hostshare Advanced must first agree to the Hostshare Pledge before going live with their listing. The Pledge reflects the shared values of trust, hospitality, and respect that define the Hostshare community.
By enrolling in Hostshare Advanced, you pledge to:
“Keep my property or properties listed on Hostshare for the full duration of my annual membership.”
This commitment ensures fairness and stability for all members in the exchange network.
9. Expiration and Renewal
Travel nights expire at the end of each annual membership term and do not roll over.
Membership automatically renews annually unless canceled prior to renewal.
Upon renewal, a new allocation of 21 nights per active listing is granted.
10. Membership Pricing
The annual Hostshare membership fee is $395.
Hostshare may offer discounts or promotions at its discretion.
Promotional prices do not guarantee renewal pricing; renewals are billed at the standard rate unless otherwise stated.
Membership fees are non-refundable once a listing has been approved and travel nights have been issued.
11. Membership Cancellation & Refund Policy
Members cannot cancel their membership mid-term for the purpose of avoiding hosting obligations or withdrawing their listing from the platform.
Members who request cancellation must have a qualifying reason, as outlined in the official Hostshare Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Unauthorized cancellations or attempts to exit the program early may result in:
Immediate forfeiture of all remaining travel nights,
Loss of eligibility to rejoin Hostshare in the future, and
Removal from the platform.
If a cancellation interferes with a confirmed booking and the member refuses to honor that booking, the member will be permanently banned and will not be allowed to rejoin Hostshare. This includes both Hostshare Last-Minute and Hostshare Advanced.
Refund eligibility depends on listing status:
If a listing has not been approved and no travel nights have been issued, the membership fee may be eligible for a refund upon review.
Once a listing is approved and travel nights are issued, the membership fee becomes non-refundable, regardless of whether travel nights are used.
Hostshare reserves the right to offer limited goodwill refunds or credits only in rare, approved situations—this is not guaranteed.
12. Opt-Out & Booking Commitment Policy
Hostshare Advanced requires a 12-month commitment. After the initial 7-day opt-out window, the Share Pledge becomes active and members are expected to remain in the program for the full 12 months. This policy works together with the Hostshare Advanced Booking Cancellation Guidelines.
Once the 7-day window has passed:
All instant bookings must be honored.
Any member who opts out and refuses to honor an instant booking will be permanently banned from all Hostshare programs.Members can no longer freely opt out.
Because of the 12-month commitment, members are not permitted to unlist or cancel their Advanced participation outside the 7-day window.If a member has not traveled and has no active or future bookings:
They may contact Hostshare Support to request an exception.
If approved, the member will be restricted from rejoining Hostshare Advanced.If the member has used Hostshare Advanced travel:
Opting out or unlisting after using travel benefits may result in the member not being eligible to rejoin Hostshare Advanced again in the future. Re-admission is at Hostshare’s sole discretion.
These rules protect the integrity of the Share Pledge, ensure fairness to other hosts, and uphold the reliability of the Hostshare Advanced network.
13. Amendments
Hostshare reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to members via email or through their Hostshare account.
14. Beta Release
Hostshare Advanced™ is currently offered as part of a beta release. By enrolling, members acknowledge and agree that:
Features may be incomplete, adjusted, or improved over time.
Bugs, technical issues, or unexpected behavior may occur.
Hostshare may update, modify, or discontinue aspects of the program at its discretion, with or without prior notice.
Participation in the beta indicates acceptance of these conditions and an understanding that the product is provided “as-is” during this testing phase.
