1. Commitment to Sharing Nights
Pledge:
I pledge to keep my property (or properties) listed on Hostshare for the full duration of my annual membership, ensuring fair and honest availability through both Last-Minute and Hostshare Advanced bookings — depending on what I have opted into (Last-Minute, Advanced, or both).
I understand:
Last-Minute nights allow other hosts to book up to 5 nights within a rolling 5-day window, based on my live calendar availability.
Hostshare Advanced nights allow other hosts to book up to 6 months in advance (up to 7 nights), depending on my chosen blockout dates and participation in Hostshare Advanced.
All Hostshare stays are Instant Book — not request-to-book.
I agree to honor every confirmed Hostshare booking, whether Last-Minute or Advanced.
My property must remain actively listed and bookable on Airbnb for the duration of my Hostshare membership.
I understand that if I have opted into the free trial, my property may still be booked, and I agree to honor those bookings even if they occur while I am still in the trial phase.
Refusing to honor a confirmed stay without a legitimate extenuating circumstance may result in being labeled a Pledge Ducker™ — a term used for members who break their Hostshare pledge by failing to follow through on sharing commitments. Pledge Duckers are be permanently banned and cannot participate in the Hostshare platform, now or in the future.
I will not manipulate or block my calendar in ways that unfairly limit available nights or disrupt the spirit of mutual exchange.
2. Embrace the Benefits of Sharing
Pledge:
In exchange for opening my calendar, I receive the privilege to travel through the Hostshare network — staying at fellow hosts’ properties without nightly rates or platform fees (just cleaning and small Hostshare fees).
I understand that:
Each active listing on Hostshare provides 21 travel nights per membership year.
Unused nights do not roll over to the following membership year.
Nights shared are valued based on the average nightly rate of my own property.
I pledge to be a respectful and grateful guest — leaving every home better than I found it and treating every host as a valued part of this community.
3. Adherence to Terms, Fair Use, and Community Trust
Pledge:
I have reviewed and agree to the Hostshare Terms of Service, including all rules related to booking, cancellations, and community conduct.
I understand that this community thrives on trust, and that all disputes should first be handled through respectful communication and peer moderation before involving Hostshare support.
I promise that my Hostshare account and travel privileges are for my use only, and I will not transfer, share, or sell travel nights to others and I will be physically present during each stay.
4. Embrace the Community
Pledge:
I recognize that Hostshare is built on mutual respect and trust between hosts. Every booking represents a shared commitment — to reliability, good communication, and care for each other’s homes.
I agree to:
Treat fellow members with professionalism and respect.
Communicate clearly, follow house rules, and respond promptly to messages.
Approach any conflicts or misunderstandings with fairness and good faith.
Take pride in representing the Hostshare community well — as both a host and a traveler.
I commit to upholding these standards and contributing to a trusted network where hosts can share freely and travel confidently.
