Hostshare Advanced™ — Booking Cancellation Guidelines

Hostshare Advanced requires reliability from all members. When a guest books your property through Advanced, they are relying on the Share Pledge™ and Membership Terms agreed to — which means hosts must honor instant bookings once the commitment is active.

If you wish to cancel an Advanced booking, the options you have depend entirely on whether you are inside or outside the 7-day opt-out window.


1. If You Are Within the 7-Day Opt-Out Window

When you first join Hostshare Advanced, you have 7 days to freely opt out of the program.

If no bookings have been made yet:

  • You may opt out freely.

  • You may rejoin Hostshare Advanced at any time in the future.

If a booking is made at your property during the 7-day window:

You may still opt out, but you must honor the booking.

After honoring the booking:

  • You may exit Advanced.

  • You may rejoin Advanced at any time in the future.

Important:
Even during the 7-day window, you cannot cancel an instant booking.
It must be honored before opting out.


2. After the 7-Day Window Has Passed

Once the window closes, the 12-month commitment begins, and all instant bookings must be honored. Because cancellations are not permitted, hosts who wish to exit Advanced must handle any existing booking in one of the following ways:

Option 1 — Honor the Booking & Opt Out of Advanced

You may choose to honor the booking and leave Hostshare Advanced afterward.

If you do:

  • You must host the current reservation.

  • You will lose access to Hostshare Advanced after opting out.

  • You will not be eligible to rejoin Advanced for 12 months from the date you exit.

  • You may still remain on Hostshare and use Last-Minute travel.

This is the only option that allows you to remain a Hostshare member.


Option 2 — Refuse to Honor the Booking (Not Allowed)

Refusing to honor an instant booking after the 7-day window is a direct violation of the Share Pledge and the Advanced Membership Terms.

Doing so results in:

  • Immediate removal from Hostshare Advanced

  • Permanent removal from the entire Hostshare platform

  • No ability to rejoin in the future
