Hostshare Advanced™
Opens your calendar for bookings up to 180 days in advance

Allows you to set Blockout Dates to protect top-earning nights
Automatically optimizes Hostshare windows to fit your revenue strategy
A long-term model designed to maximize both paid income and shareable travel
Do I need to import my Airbnb listings first?
Yes. Before joining Advanced, you must add your listing to Hostshare using one of these methods:
Once your listing is onboarded, you can opt into Hostshare Advanced.
How do booking fees work for Hostshare Advanced™ stays?
For Hostshare Advanced™ bookings, travelers pay a 12% Hostshare booking fee, calculated based on the savings they receive compared to the listing’s average nightly rate.
How this is calculated:
Hostshare estimates the average nightly rate of the stay over the last year.
We calculate how much the traveler is saving compared to typical pricing (average nightly rate).
The traveler pays 12% of that savings as the Hostshare booking fee
Hosts do not receive nightly rates from these stays, just the cleaning fee.
Example:
If a stay would normally cost $1,000 and the traveler saves $1,000 by using Hostshare, their booking fee is: $1,000 × 12% = $120
How do Blockout Dates work?
Blockout Dates are nights you reserve for paid bookings instead of Hostshare stays. These dates are automatically excluded from Hostshare availability.
Wheelhouse™ analyzes your local market, historical rates, and demand trends to recommend which nights you might want to block based on their Bookability Score™.
Important:
You can adjust Blockout Dates for up to 7 days before they lock
Once locked, a blockout segment cannot be changed for 90 days
What is the Bookability Score™?
The Bookability Score™ (0–100) predicts how likely a date is to receive a paid booking. It accounts for:
Local demand
Seasonal trends
Upcoming events
Competitor performance
Your listing’s booking history
Your Bookability Scores™ help you identify which nights to block for paid guests so you can keep your highest-value dates protected.
Why does Hostshare Advanced require larger availability windows (up to 7 nights)?
To maintain a stable, fair marketplace, Hostshare requires an availability windows of up to 7 nights for a date to be bookable (unless an external block creates a shorter window). This ensures reliable travel options while protecting your revenue.
What is the guest cancellation policy for Hostshare Advanced™ bookings?
Hostshare Advanced™ has its own cancellation rules that differ from Last-Minute.
Key points from the Advanced Guest Cancellation Policy:
Guests may cancel according to the specific timelines outlined in the Hostshare Advanced Guest Cancellation Policy.
Cancellation outcomes depend on when the guest cancels relative to the check-in date.
Some cancellations may result in the traveler receiving only a portion of their savings back, while others may forfeit the full savings.
Booking fees connected to savings may be non-refundable depending on timing.
How far in advance can members book under Advanced?
Members can book up to 180 days in advance.
How long is the commitment when I opt in to Hostshare Advanced™ if I am currently on the Last-Minute modal?
When a member opts into Hostshare Advanced™, they commit to honoring all Hostshare bookings for the next 6 months, even if their Hostshare renewal date occurs during that window.
If my renewal date is coming up soon, does opting into Advanced lock me in for another full year?
No. Your Hostshare membership renewal date stays the same.
However, opting into Advanced means you still commit to honoring bookings made during the 6-month rolling window—even if your renewal arrives sooner.
Your travel nights and share nights will still reset on your renewal date, just like normal.
What happens if a guest books dates that fall after my renewal date?
If a guest books dates after your renewal date, those dates count toward your next year’s share-night requirement (your next contract year).
If I only have a few share nights left, do I have to share more when joining Advanced?
No. Your current share-night progress carries over into Advanced.
If you have already met your share nights for the current contract year, you do not need to share additional nights until your next renewal.
Do I get a brand-new set of 21 travel nights when I opt in?
No. Your travel nights do not reset when you join Advanced. They reset on your existing renewal date, as usual.
Can I customize or override the AI blockout recommendations?
Yes. You can:
Approve or adjust blockout segments before publishing
Choose which dates remain open for Hostshare
Update pricing on your primary platform, which syncs back to Hostshare
You remain fully in control.
Do my bookings on other platforms count towards my blockout dates?
Yes. Any nights booked on another platform—such as Airbnb, Vrbo, or through your PMS—automatically become blockout dates in Hostshare. Manual blocks you set in your PMS or other channels will sync as blockout dates as well.
What happens if I delete or modify external blocks from Airbnb or my PMS?
External blocks always override Hostshare availability. If you free up dates, Hostshare may re-evaluate availability windows and reopen dates when appropriate.
Does Hostshare Advanced™ change how cleaning fee payouts to the host work?
All host cleaning-fee payouts for Hostshare stays — are made exclusively via Stripe (through Hostshare).
To receive payouts, hosts must set up their Hostshare Payout Account.
Is Hostshare Advanced™ available for all property types?
Most standard short-term rental property types qualify for Hostshare Advanced™, as long as the listing is live on Airbnb and meets Hostshare’s internal listing criteria at the time of onboarding. Certain unique configurations may require manual review before being approved for Advanced.
Can I switch back to Last-Minute?
After joining Hostshare Advanced™, you have a 7-day opt-out window.
If you choose to opt out after those 7 days and do not honor the Hostshare Pledge — particularly the requirement to keep your listing live and available — you may not be eligible to rejoin Hostshare Advanced™ in the future. If a member chooses to opt out and then fails to honor a booking that was already made through Hostshare Advanced, they will be permanently removed from both Hostshare Last-Minute and Hostshare Advanced. See more info on this under our membership terms.
Are bookings on Hostshare Advanced instant book?
Yes. All Hostshare Advanced bookings are instant book.
When a date is available, it can be booked immediately—no host approval needed. Members are required to honor all confirmed instant bookings.
What is the commitment period for Hostshare Advanced?
Hostshare Advanced has a 12-month commitment period. Members may opt out within the first 7 days. After the opt-out window closes, your enrollment is locked in for the remainder of the year.
How many travel nights to do I get?
Members get 21 travel nights per live listing. Those travel nights can be used towards either last-minute bookings or Advanced bookings.
How is my required share nights number calculated?
Your Share Night value is determined by your Average Nightly Rate.
Listings with higher nightly rates provide fewer Share Nights, while listings with lower nightly rates provide more. This keeps sharing fair across properties of different price ranges.
