Understanding Hostshare’s 10-Day Buffer Between Bookings

What is the 10-Day Buffer?

Hostshare automatically applies a 10-day buffer after each Hostshare guest checks out. During this period, the dates will be blocked on Hostshare, but they will remain open on Airbnb and other booking platforms, allowing hosts to prioritize revenue-generating reservations.

Why Does Hostshare Have a 10-Day Buffer?

At Hostshare, our priority is hosts first. This buffer is designed to help hosts maximize their earnings by ensuring that revenue-based bookings take priority. Here’s why it benefits users:

  • More Control Over Your Calendar – The buffer prevents immediate back-to-back Hostshare stays, allowing hosts to keep their options open for paid reservations.

  • Maximized Revenue – Since the buffer only applies to Hostshare and not Airbnb or other platforms, hosts can still accept paid bookings during the 10-day period.

  • Better Hosting Flexibility – By keeping dates open for revenue bookings first, hosts can optimize your rental strategy while still participating in Hostshare.

How Does It Work?

  1. A Hostshare guest checks out → A 10-day block is automatically placed on your Hostshare calendar.

  2. These dates remain open on Airbnb and other platforms → Users can still receive revenue bookings.

  3. Once the 10-day period ends → The dates become available again for Hostshare bookings if dates are also open on other booking platforms.

  4. Booking Extensions → Hostshare guests can still extend their bookings (one time per booking as long as dates are open on Airbnb and the host approves the extension).

This system is designed to give hosts more flexibility while maximizing their revenue potential. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team - [email protected].
