Here at Hostshare, we pride ourselves on offering our users instant bookings at listings in the Hostshare network! Our current success rate for instant bookings is 77%. We are working hard to improve this, and you (the host) are helping us do that!

However, you may wish to cancel a reservation made by a Hostshare member at your property. This does violate the Hostshare Pledge agreed to upon sign up, but there are a few options if you wish to proceed with cancelation nonetheless.

  1. Pay a $100 fee for cancellation.

    This is only allowed one time and must be done within an hour of booking made so the guest is able to find other accommodations.

  2. Cancel booking, have your listing removed, lose your 21 free travel nights, and be suspended from the platform.

    Cancelling a booking goes against the "Hostshare Pledge" you agreed to upon sign-up and will result in suspension from the platform should you decide to cancel and de-list your property.

  3. Reach out to Hostshare Support

    We understand there can be extenuating circumstances out of your control. If you believe you have a valid reason for canceling a reservation, please reach out to support. Reasons may include: Extreme weather conditions, damage to property, or a family emergency.
