One simple, all-in fee on every booking — and your credits are designed to cover it. Here's exactly how it works.
On Hostshare there are no nightly rates. Instead, every booking has one straightforward service fee: 15% of the comparable Airbnb price for the same property and dates.
What the service fee covers
The service fee is a single, all-in charge with nothing hidden behind it. It covers:
The cost of running and maintaining the platform
Payment processing
Up to $50,000 in damage protection on every booking
There are no separate processing fees, protection fees, or hidden line items — it's all rolled into the one service fee.
How it's calculated
The service fee is always 15% of the comparable Airbnb price — meaning what the same property would cost for the same dates if booked on Airbnb, including that platform's nightly rate and fees. Because it's a percentage of the comparable price, the fee scales naturally with the value of the stay.
An example
Example figures only. Instead of paying $829.35 in nightly rates, you'd pay a $99.52 service fee, and the $125 cleaning fee (goes directly to the host) — and if you have credits available, they're applied automatically to bring that down, often to $0.
Credits cover the service fee
Your credits apply directly to the service fee at checkout — automatically, with no codes or manual steps. Credits can only be applied to the service fee, never to the cleaning fee. For members with a healthy credits balance, the service fee is often reduced all the way to $0.
The bottom line: instead of paying full nightly rates, you pay a 15% service fee that keeps the platform running and every stay protected — and your credits are built to cover it. For most members, the only real out-of-pocket cost of a stay is the host's cleaning fee.
