Overview: If you notice discrepancies between your calendar availability on Hostshare and your Airbnb calendar, the issue likely stems from manually blocked dates on Airbnb that haven't updated correctly in the .ics file. This guide provides a step-by-step solution to refresh your calendar data and ensure both platforms display matching availability.

Identifying the Issue: The synchronization problem typically affects dates that were manually blocked a long time ago on Airbnb. For reasons related to .ics file updating protocols, these changes sometimes do not reflect on Hostshare, leading to potential mismatches in displayed availability.

Step-by-Step Solution:

  1. Navigate to Your Airbnb Listing:

    • Sign in to Airbnb, and go to your listing's calendar.

  2. Adjust Blocked Dates:

    • Identify any dates you've manually blocked. Temporarily unblock these dates to reset the status.

  3. Reapply Blocks:

    • Immediately after unblocking, reblock the same dates. This action forces an update to the .ics file.

  4. Export and Check Your Calendar:

    • Export the updated calendar from Airbnb.

    • Use ICS Calendar Preview to confirm the availability now aligns with your intended schedule.

  5. Contact Hostshare:

    • Once you've verified the calendars match, please notify Hostshare. You can reach our support team via the chat feature on our platform or by sending an email to [email protected].

For Other Issues: If you encounter problems not addressed by this guide, or if the above steps do not resolve your calendar synchronization issue, please contact Hostshare support directly. Our team is ready to assist with any inquiries or challenges you may face.
