If you’re a property owner whose property is managed by a property management company and you don’t have direct access to your listing calendar, you can easily share this information with your property manager. Simply download the PDF at the bottom or share the information below with them.

Hostshare Calendar File Request

Hello!

You’re receiving this form because one of your property owners has joined Hostshare! Hostshare is a one-of-a-kind platform designed exclusively for short-term rental hosts, offering the opportunity to travel for free to other listings within the network—paying only the cleaning fee. By sharing last-minute availability (within a 5-day window), hosts create a collaborative and budget-friendly way to explore new destinations while also not giving up their revenue nights.

To ensure smooth integration and accurate tracking of availability, we kindly ask for access to the listing’s calendar data in either .ics or .ical format. Below is an outline of the information and process necessary for granting this access.

1. Why We Need Calendar File Access

The calendar file allows Hostshare to:

  • Accurately track property availability.

  • Sync booking data with our platform.

  • Ensure a seamless experience for both owners and property managers.

2. Calendar File Format

We accept calendar files in the following formats:

  • .ics (iCalendar)

  • .ical (iCalendar)

These formats are standard and compatible with most Property Management Systems.

3. How to Provide the Calendar File

To facilitate the process, we request one of the following:

  • Provide the calendar file to your property owner.

  • A direct email attachment of the calendar file (can be sent to [email protected]).

Please note that this data will only be used for property availability tracking on the Hostshare platform and will not be shared with third parties.

4. Property Owner Authorization

The property owner acknowledges and grants permission to the property manager to share the calendar file with Hostshare by sending this form to their property manager or their contact at the property management company.

5. PMS Consent

The property management company acknowledges and consents access for Hostshare to use the calendar file by facilitating the sharing of the requested calendar data.

If needed, a PMS contact can directly reach out to our support team for clarification or technical assistance at [email protected]. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to offering more travel opportunities to your property owner utilizing the Hostshare network. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
